Check in alerts

When items are checked in using Auto (default) mode, you may receive one of the following messages if it applies. These messages display briefly at the top of the Check In screen.

Check in message Descripción
[Bill Reason}! Title: {Title} Pay/Waive Bill
 

Item was overdue and a related overdue bill has been assessed.

 Note: Pay/Waive Bill link will also display in the 'Title' column of the check-in table.

Hold {Title} for {Patron Name}

Item should be placed on the hold shelf at this branch. If hold approval or preparation is required, three additional messages may appear:

  • Approval required
  • Preparation required
  • Approval and preparation required

Scheduled {Title} for {Patron Name} Item is needed for an imminent schedule at this branch.
Send {Title} to {Branch Name}

Item should be routed to the specified branch.

At the destination branch, the system may prompt the user to reshelve or hold.

Item {Title} was previously claimed Lost by the patron.

This message will appear if configured in UI Preferences.

Item should be reshelved. The claim against the patron record will be removed.

Send {Title} to {Branch Name}. Item {Title} was previously claimed lost by the patron.

This message will appear if configured in UI Preferences.

Item should be rerouted to the specified branch. The claim against the patron record will be removed.

Item {Title} was previously marked as Missing.

This message will appear if configured in UI Preferences.

Item should be reshelved. The claim against the patron record will be removed.

Send {Title} to {Branch Name}. Item {Title} was previously marked as Missing.

This message will appear if configured in UI Preferences.

Item should be rerouted to the specified branch. The claim against the patron record will be removed.

Item {Title} was previously Claimed Returned by the patron.

This message will appear if configured in UI Preferences.

Item should be reshelved. The claim against the patron record will be removed.

Send {Title} to {Branch Name}. Item {Title} was previously Claimed Returned by the patron.

This message will appear if configured in UI Preferences.

Item should be rerouted to the specified branch. The claim against the patron record will be removed.

Item {Title} was previously Claimed Never Had by the patron.

This message will appear if configured in UI Preferences.

Item should be reshelved. The claim against the patron record will be removed.

Send {Title} to {Branch Name}. Item {Title} was previously Claimed Never Had by the patron.

This message will appear if configured in UI Preferences.

Item should be rerouted to the specified branch. The claim against the patron record will be removed.

Unknown Barcode "{Item Barcode}" Barcode not found by the system The item may have been withdrawn and subsequently purged. Verify the barcode entry and try again.
Item {Title} was previously Long Overdue. The item was previously Long Overdue.
The check in date is invalid Check In Date is set to a date and time prior to when the item was checked out to the current patron. Verify the Check In Date setting and try again.

Action column messages

When items are checked in, you may receive one of the following messages if it applies. These messages display in the Action column on the right side of Check In screen.

Action message Descripción
Reshelve ({Shelving Location})

Item should be returned to the shelving location specified.
When checking in an item on your pull list, its Action will be Reshelve if:

  • Another item has already fulfilled the hold or schedule
  • The hold or schedule has been canceled
  • The item checked in cannot fulfill a related hold or schedule
SEND TO: {Branch Name} ({Library Name}) Item should be routed to the specified branch.
Hold Item should be placed on the hold shelf.
Scheduled Item is needed for an imminent schedule.
Withdrawn

Item has been withdrawn. This message will appear if a withdrawn item has not been purged from the system yet.

 Note: Withdrawn items checked in at a location other than the home branch will instruct the user to route the item to its home branch. Once checked in at the home branch, the WITHDRAWN action will display.

ILL Item was loaned to your library via interlibrary loan and should be returned to the supplying library.
