Create a LHR script package
Discover how to bundle your customized LHR scripts together to form a script package in WorldShare Record Manager.
A script package allows you to run up to five scripts on a record work list in the order you specify. A script package can be given a unique name and saved for reuse.
You can create and save up to 250 script packages for your institution.
Create a LHR script package
- Navigate to Toolbox > Script Packages to open the Script Packages screen.
- From the Script Packages screen, select the LHR radio button.
- Click New Script Package. The Script Packages - Create Script Package screen opens.
- From the Script Packages - Create Script Package screen, complete the following:
- Enter a name for your script package in the Script Package Name form field.
- (Optional) Enter a description for your script package in the Description form field.
- (Optional) Enter one or more labels for your script package in the Label(s) form field.
- Select a customized script from the Customized Script Name drop-down list and click Add. Repeat for up to four additional customized scripts.
- From the customized script table, use the Shift row up () and Shift row down () buttons to arrange the selected customized scripts in the order in which you want them to be applied.
- Click Save.
Activate a LHR script package
- Navigate to Toolbox > Script Packages to open the Script Packages screen.
- From the Script Packages screen, select the LHR radio button.
- Click the Script Package Name for the script package you want to activate. The Script Packages - Edit Script Package screen opens.
- Select Active from the Script Package Status drop-down list.
- Click Save. The script package is now active.
Edit a LHR script package
- Navigate to Toolbox > Script Packages to open the Script Packages screen.
- From the Script Packages screen, select the LHR radio button.
- Click the Script Package Name for the script package you want to edit. The Script Packages - Edit Script Package screen opens.
- From the Script Packages - Edit Script Package screen, update any of the following:
- Descripción
- Label(s)
- Script Package Status
- Selected customized scripts and preferred order
- Click Save.
Apply a LHR script package to a record work list
- Navigate to Record Work Lists > LHR and then click the Record Work List ID to which you want to apply a script package.
- Select Script Package from the Edit Action drop-down list.
- Select a script package from the Script Package Name drop-down list
Or
Enter a script package name in the Script Package Name form field. The system automatically suggests available packages as you begin to type. - Select the LHR record(s) to which you want to apply the script package.
Note:- To select all records on the current page of results, select the check box at the top of the table.
- To select all records in the work list, click Actions > Edit > All Target Records.
- (Optional) Preview selected records with the script package changes.
- Select up to 25 records to which you want to apply the script package changes.
- Click Actions > View Selected Record(s) > Preview Record(s) after Edit Action Applied. The View LHRs - Preview Record(s) after Edit Action Applied screen displays the selected records with the script change applied and includes any validation errors.
- Click View Current Record(s) to view the selected records in their current state. From the View LHRs - Current Record(s) screen, click Preview Record(s) after Edit Action Applied to return to the View LHRs - Preview Record(s) after Edit Action Applied screen.
- Once you have confirmed the script changes appear as expected, click Go Back.
- (Optional) Select a different set of records (up to 25) and repeat steps a through d.
- Click Actions > Edit > Selected Target Records. The Apply Script Package dialog window opens.
- Click Apply in the Apply Script Package dialog window. The script running process is asynchronous. The time it takes to run varies depending on how many records you are editing. While the process is running, you can perform other actions in Record Manager outside of the LHR tab in the Record Work Lists screen.
Archive a LHR script package
Caution: After you archive a script, it cannot be used for editing records in record work lists.
- Navigate to Toolbox > Script Packages to open the Script Packages screen.
- From the Script Packages screen, select the LHR radio button.
- Click the Script Package Name for the script package you want to archive. The Script Packages - Edit Script Package screen opens.
- Select Archived from the Script Package Status drop-down list. The Archive Script Package dialog window opens.
- From the Archive Script Package dialog window, click Archive. A confirmation message appears stating that the customized script has been archived.
View archived LHR script packages
- Navigate to Toolbox > Script Packages to open the Script Packages screen.
- From the Script Packages screen, select the LHR radio button.
- Click View Archived Script Packages to view all archived script packages for your library.
- (Optional) Click the Script Package Name to view the archived script package's details.
- Click Hide Archived Script Packages to return to the active script packages screen.
