6xx invalid code validation error
Symptom
- You get an error, "6xx - invalid code", on an authorized subject heading in a MARC record while attempting the save and/or set holdings on in WorldCat

Resolution
This usually means that the $2 code that references the source of heading or term being used is incorrect. Compare that code with the official code list to find out what it should be, then correct and try to validate/save again. If problems persist, contact OCLC Support with your name, library symbol, login authorization number and the OCLC# you are working with.
