What does the On Hold Expired status mean?
Symptom
- You have an item that appears as On Hold (Expired) in WMS Circulation, but as On Hold in WorldCat Discovery and need to know how to get it.

Resolution
On Hold (Expired) means that the item went to the Hold shelf successfully, but was never picked up by the user. The "Expired" part is pulled out of WorldCat Discovery display to avoid having users coming to the desk forcing staff to pull items from other users.
If you have one of these titles and need it for other uses, you should be able to pull the item from the hold shelf and check it back in to clear the On Hold (Expired) status.
