Why am I getting an error message stating the address is incorrect when processing ILL borrowing requests?

  • When processing ILL borrowing requests, the error message 'does not have a valid shipping address' appears
  • Same is listed in the Bill To address

If Same is listed in the Bill To address, you will need to update your Borrower data in the OCLC Service Configuration so the address matches the Shipping and Contact Info or has a full correct address entered. To update your Borrower Data, follow these steps: 

  1. Sign in to OCLC Service Configuration
  2. Click WorldShare ILL > Borrower Data
  3. Select the correct Constant Data Record
  4. Under Bill To, click Copy From Shipping Info or enter a valid address
  5. Click Save at the bottom of the page

If you have multiple Constant Data Records, you will need to update the Bill To address for each record. If this does not fix the issues please contact OCLC Support.
