Find out how to access and use the Customize Short List of Material Types window in Connexion client.

Purpose of the Customize Short List of Material Types window

Customize the short list of material types in the Search WorldCat window:

  • Rearrange the list
  • Modify the list by adding indexes
  • Remove material types
  • Restore the default material type list

Access the Customize Short List of Material Types window

  1. Navigate to Cataloging > Search > WorldCat, click Search WorldCat button, or press <F2>.
  2. In the Search WorldCat window, above the Material Type list, click Personalize List button.

Característica How to use
Short list of material types View the current short list of material types.

Select a material type to move up, move down, or remove from the list.

Default short list of material types:
  • Biography
  • CD audio 
  • Computer game 
  • DVD video 
  • Fiction 
  • Government publication 
  • Juvenile (all types) 
  • Thesis/dissertation 
  • VHS tape 
  • Web access 

 

Button name Click the button to...
Move Up Move the selected index up in the list.
Move Down Move the selected index down in the list.
Modify Open the Choose Short List Items window, which gives a check list from which to select or clear items from the short list.
Eliminar Remove the selected material type from the list.
Restore Defaults Restore the default material type short list.
OK Apply the settings you entered and close the window.
Cancelar Cancel any changes you made and close the window.
