Why does the number of libraries owning my work fluctuate?

Answer

WorldCat.org displays the number of OCLC member libraries that indicate they currently own a copy of a title. As part of normal operating procedures, libraries update their records to add or remove items from their collections. These changes will be reflected in the list of libraries owning your title in WorldCat.org, and the total number subsequently fluctuates with those updates.
