Patron account options

Discover how to manage the options available in library user accounts in the CapiraMobile Staff Dashboard.

Account options control what a user sees when they view their account in the app.

  1. From the left navigation, under the Elements menu, select Options > Account.
  2. Use the tabs to switch between option types to update the desired fields.

Card image Click Select From Media Library to choose the image you would like to use for the digital library card.

 Note: An image must already be in your media library for you to use it. See Media for more information.

Card settings

Choose a barcode option from the Digital Barcode Format drop-down list.

Use the toggle to enable or disable the following options:

  • Display Expiration Date - When enabled, the digital card will show the user's expiration date as it appears in the ILS.
  • Display Patron Name - When enabled, the digital card will show the user's name as it appears in the ILS.
  • Display Library Card Image - When enabled, the digital card will show the card image.

Available options:

  • Barcode Placeholder Text - The placeholder input to display on the authentication screen for barcode.
  • Require PIN/Password - Slide the toggle to the right to disable the use of a pin or password when logging in, and only require users to provide a barcode for authentication. Your ILS must support this feature.
  • Password Placeholder Text - The placeholder input to display on the authentication screen for password.
  • Display forgot password button - Slide the toggle to the right to enable the Forgot Password Link text field. Enter a URL which allows users to reset their password.

     Note: If your website links are not working in the app, please try adding or removing http://www. from URLs entered in the Staff Dashboard.

  • Help Text - Additional instructions for users who have trouble signing in.
